Magis Capital (Pty) Limited herein after referred to as “Magis” or “we” or “us” Terms and Conditions
- Magis serves as a digital financial services advisor, engaging with our clients solely through digital channels.
- By using Magis’ services, you confirm that you are at least eighteen years old or have the support of someone over that age.
- The advice provided by Magis is based on the information you provide, combined with Magis’ professional insight. It’s important to note that the advice is a proposal, and the decision to accept or decline it lies with you.
- Upon utilising Magis’ services for advice, selecting solutions, or engaging with financial services providers, you officially become a Magis client. Magis then acts as your financial advisor, representing you in interactions with entities such as insurance companies, investment managers, and banks.
- Each recommended solution accepted by you will entail a separate contract with the chosen financial services provider, governing your association with that provider.
- You retain the freedom to terminate your contract with Magis at your discretion by providing notification. Magis is entitled to receive commission from the underlying financial services provider until you substitute it with another advisor or cease using the advised solution.
- Magis does not handle any funds designated for insurance premiums, loan repayments, investments, or claims. Payments to and from insurers, investment houses, or banks will be conducted directly between respective bank accounts.
- After choosing a solution from the financial services providers on the platform, Magis will charge an administration and registration fee, which is currently set at ninety-nine rand (R99) for each solution. Additionally, there is an annual fee of ninety-nine rand per client, which is applied on the anniversary of becoming a client. This fee is charged per client, regardless of the number of solutions utilised, and is intended to cover the costs of annual administration and updates.
- Following the implementation of your chosen solution, Magis will receive commission from the financial services provider within the regulatory limits set by the Financial Sector Conduct Authority (FSCA).
- Accuracy in the information provided is crucial. Financial Services Providers retain the right to terminate contracts, such as policy cancellations or claims denial, in case of misleading information.
- By utilising our services, you agree to adhere to our Privacy Policy, ensuring the protection of your personal information.
- Your contracted solutions with Magis will be visible on your Magis platform dashboard.
- Annually, on the contract anniversary, certain information confirmation will be required. On the third anniversary, a more comprehensive confirmation of these details will be needed.
- By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you agree that we can communicate with you through various communication media at our disposal. These include, amongst others, our web and mobile apps, emails, telephonic communication including, but not limited to, messaging services such as SMS, WhatsApp and any other social media platforms we use. This list is not exhaustive.
- Magis reserves the right to periodically review and update these terms and conditions, with any alterations communicated through the various communication channels at our disposal.
